Coast and Montgó
Dénia by bike: flat coast, longer distances and the Montgó
Dénia offers two very different kinds of riding. Around the centre, marina and the long northern coastline, many journeys are relatively flat and work well on a conventional city bike. South of the centre, the landscape changes around Les Rotes and the Montgó. Roads become more rolling, destinations spread out and an apparently short sightseeing day can accumulate far more distance than expected.
The bikes are prepared at Elite Bikes in Jávea, on the other side of the Montgó. If you have a car, collection is usually the easiest and least expensive arrangement. Delivery can also be requested, but we need the complete Dénia address before we can confirm a price and time.
Plan for the complete ride, including the return. A city bike keeps the cost down for short journeys in central Dénia and along the flatter northern coast. Electric assistance is useful for a longer day, a headwind or accommodation closer to the Montgó. Choose the e-MTB when an off-road route is part of the plan and you already have mountain-bike experience.
